200 Hour Training
Each year, PYX's Lauren & Erik host one main 200 Hour Teacher Training for sincere students wanting to deepen their practice and share yoga with others.
The training is limited to less than 10 students for an intimate learning environment. The PYX Teacher Training is radically different than many YTT programs, in that, opportunities to teach are guaranteed after you successfully complete the program. Teachers find that they typically make back their investment within a year after graduating.
What You'll Learn
This 7 month course will cover Asana, Eastern philosophy, Ayurveda, Yoga Anatomy and Therapeutics, Gentle & Accessible Yoga for all ages, and contemplative practices such as Meditation, Mindfulness and Pranayama.
This training is rooted in the lineage of Krisnamacharya and his disciples. Director Erik Burling has practiced in the Mysore tradition of Ashtanga Yoga with Meghan Kirk and David Garrigues, and also in the Iyengar tradition with renowned teacher Joan White.
Founders and teachers, Erik & Lauren Burling, have 16+ combined years of experience teaching yoga. The course will be accessible and open to students of all levels. There will be heavy emphasis on self-development, reflection and yoga practice. With the completion of the course, students will come away with the ability to teach yoga in both private and group settings.
Supporting teachers throughout this program include Justin Rose and Brandon Everett.

What our Teacher Training Graduates are Saying....
"Going through the 2017-18 yoga teacher training was rewarding and challenging physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. Erik and Lauren have created a program that meets the needs of all. If you want to become a yoga teacher, learn more about the history of yoga, delve into your personal yoga practice, or learn more about yourself, this class is for you. Personally, I wanted to learn more about asana, yoga sequencing, and how to lead a yoga class. Currently, I teach one class a week here now and have one private student. Plus, you cannot beat the great value!"
